Port Vale striker Luke Rodgers as been backed to be a success with the Valiants by manager Martin Foyle.
Rodgers makes good impression
The 25-year-old joined Vale in January from Crewe Alexandra and scored three times in eight games last term.
Now Rodgers has started pre-season in lively fashion and Foyle is looking ahead to further improvements.
He told the club's official website: "Luke Rodgers is going to be the bargain of the season.
"He's got that fire in his belly and, believe me, there's something good to come from him this year.
"He has come back fit. He's had two seasons where he probably hasn't been wanted, but he's certainly wanted here and he certainly wants to work on his game."
