Swindon V Port Vale at County Ground - Match Preview

Harley has chance of Robins return

Swindon could be boosted by the return of playmaker Ryan Harley when they host Port Vale.

The 28-year-old former Brighton midfielder has not featured for the Robins since September 7 with a thigh injury but he could come into contention on Saturday if training goes well in the build-up.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Yaser Kasim is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign last weekend and will now serve his one-match ban.

Mark Cooper's men, eighth in Sky Bet League One heading into this clash, have lost their last two games having previously won four on the bounce.

Vale manager Micky Adams should have an unchanged squad.

Gavin Tomlin has resumed training after a toe injury but the forward, who last appeared in the 1-0 win at Carlisle on September 7, is not expected to be included in the squad.

Adams has options should he wish to make changes to his starting line-up. Defenders Daniel Jones and Richard Duffy, midfielders Chris Birchall and Jennison Myrie-Williams and strikers Tom Pope and Lee Hughes all started last weekend's home victory over Gillingham on the bench.

Pope staked his claim for a recall with the winning goal against the Gills after replacing youngster Jordan Hugill at half-time and Adams could make that change from the start at the County Ground.
