What are you doing??? Destroying seats in the Railway Stand???
I mean, what's the plan? Are you thinking of tearing them up and putting them down in the unfinished Lorne Street stand? You might as well, it's never going to get finished over there.
In fact, digressing for a moment here, I've heard that the cost of putting those seats into the Lorne allegedly runs into millions. WTF?? I'd put them in for a couple of grand.
Now, if Vale's form continues, with promotion achieved the LAST thing the club should waste it's money on is spending MILLIONS putting seats into the Lorne.
Why we can't find a local Vale-supporting builder to finish the job, I just don't know. Surely we're not tied to some ridiculous building contract...are we? Knowing our luck we are.
When the Lorne St stand is finished, I suspect it will be the place to be, what with it's sheltered underground bunker with SKY TV and plenty of beer (strike that, I mean lager).
However, you still can't get a decent cappuccino, mind. AND - you may think I'm being petty here - the decor leaves a lot to be desired. It reminds me of an unfinished road subway. It wouldn't surprise me to see people p*ssing against the wall (before going off to the gents for a fag!). Haven't they got any paint to brighten up the place? Maybe after promotion.
And promotion is a distinct possibility, after breaking down goal-mean Stanley, Vale have now shown their muscle by thwacking promotion (& geographical) rivals Shrewsbury.
Forget Oxford (& Carlisle) (& Hereford). Regular service will be resumed, Adams will stake his rugged reputation on it.
