The first goal came after four minutes when Lewis Haldane drove home from 14 yards after being set up by Marc Richards.
The next goal came from Louis Dodds just three minutes later, he beat keeper Paul Gerrard with a shot after he again was set up by the intelligent Richards.
Then Richards got on the score sheet himself when he got on the end of a Kris Taylor cross and scored with a close range half volley.
Stockport pulled a goal back after 22 minutes when Bridcutt beat Chris Martin with a 30 yard effort.
And the visitors created enough chances to level the game before half time but could not take advantage.
