Bournemouth ended a run of four successive defeats with a determined second half comeback to defeat Port vale 2-1 at Dean Court.
Port Vale were deservedly ahead at the interval with a goal from top scorer Stephen McPhee and should have been even further in front but for missed chances.
But, after been given a first half pasting by Port Vale, Bournemouth struck back after the break to win with goals from Gareth O'Connor and Steve Fletcher.
McPhee scored his 14th goal of the season after a free-kick from Mark Boyd had found him unmarked to score with a right-foot shot from 12 yards.
Boyd and Billy Paynter went close to adding to Vale's lead and Mcphee shot badly wide after goalkeeper Neil Moss had only parried another free-kick from Boyd.
But it was a different story after the break and Bournemouth were revived after being awarded a penalty in the 48th minute.
A moment of carelessness by defender Michael Cummins, who failed to reach his goalkeeper with a back pass, allowed Warren Feeney to nip in between.
As Feeney attempted to go around the goalkeeper, he was brought down and after Jonathan Brain had been booked, O' Connor stepped up to convert the spot-kick.
Six minutes later Bournemouth got another when Stephen Cooke, on loan from Aston Villa, put in Fletcher who beat the on rushing goalkeeper with a low right foot shot.
It was Fletcher's first goal in 14 matches and his seventh of the season to complete Bournemouth's revival.
James Hayter had a shot cleared off the line by Paynter in the 71st minute and Port Vale were denied an equaliser four minutes later when Moss made a tremendous one handed save from Stephen Brooker.
Brain made up for his earlier error by diving to his right to keep out a low shot from Steve Fletcher leaving Port Vale to regret not making the most of their first half dominance.
