Port Vale again dominated in their 4th away win out of 5 this season.
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson returned for Vale replacing Chris Martin - competition between these two hotting up, further evidence of the true depth of quality in the Vale squad.
As Vale took control, unmarked Marc Richards put Vale in front after 33 minutes, heading home Gary Roberts' corner from the right. Bradford defenders had been too busy protesting to the ref about a possible handball by Justin Richards that had won Vale the corner.
Justin then forced a second in the 75th minute, gifted to Vale by Bradford keeper Jon McLaughlin who failed to control a Tommy Doherty back-pass. Justin simply had to tap into an empty net.
Jake Speight seemed to be the only danger to Vale. In the first half he troubled McCombe into slicing against his own cross-bar. Later Spreight could have equalised for the home side but instead handled the ball in front of an open goal.
Vale fans were quick to note Louis Moult, on loan from Stoke City, coming on as substitute in the second half, but he failed to make the necessary breakthrough.
Another remarkable away win for Vale.
