Rotherham 5 Vale 0

With Micky Adams running off to his "dream job" at his favourite club Sheffield United (they lost 4-2 to managerless Burnley), Port Vale soldiered on with deputy Geoff Horsfield at the helm. Oh dear.

The wheels on Vale's bus no longer go round and round, as this supposed top-of-the-table clash started badly for Vale and just got worse.

After 10 minutes, 4th place Rotherham took the lead, Nicky Law scoring from a flowing move that left Vale looking stranded. Ryan Taylor nodded in the second on 18th minute.

But on the half hour, off went Vale's keeper, Stuart Tomlinson, after "stopping" Marcus Marshall running in on goal. Stuart is appealing (or at least it's his red card that he's appealing).

With Chris Martin in goal, Vale conceded 3 more, Will Atkinson's tap home on 46 mins, Taylor's fancy shot on 68, and Mark Randall's blaster on 85.

Rotherham replace Vale in 2nd place, Vale drop to 4th, which on this form they won't hold for long.

Whatever next.
